What is Next Level Training and Testing?
Next Level Training and Testing is a multi-sport training and testing location.
What sports will be in the training system?
Baseball, Softball, Cardio and Agility, and Mental Conditioning.
What Testing will be done?
The same tests that are used in various combines for baseball and softball. Some of the tests are the standing broad jump, vertical jump, grip strength, pro agility shuttle, 3 cone shuttle, over hand throwing speed, pitching speed, sprints, bat speed, ball exit speed and others. Your season stats are not enough, these two compliment each other.
Some organizations such as the National Fastpitch Coaches Association are turning to these combine tests to acquire the best overall athlete for their colleges and universities. Many of the schools will test recruits on their campus or combines to get an overall snapshot of the athlete's ability. Come to Next Level Training and Testing to get an assessment of your athletic ability and how you can improve BEFORE you have to perform in front of the coaches. The results can also be added to your recruit profile or video to prove your salt and get the added attention you deserve.
What about videos? Will you video the tests? Will you do skills videos?
Videos can be done for each athlete to put on their profile page along with their current results. Skills or recruit videos will be available in the future.
Who should attend the training?
Any athlete that wants to take their game to the next level. Whether it is from league to all-stars. All-stars to select. Select to premier or gold. Premier / Gold to high school, then onto college level. Any athlete that wants to make their game better and give them an advantage over the athlete they are competing against.
Who should do the testing?
All athletes should do the testing, no matter what age they are. Recruiting goes as deep as 7th and 8th grade. Getting tested now will let the athlete know where they are now and where they need to be. It is also a great tool for recruiting because you won't be wasting your time and the coaches time if they already have a snapshot of your athletic ability. Younger athletes can also do the testing for a benchmark and track their improvements as their athletic ability improves.
Where is this facility?
It is an outdoor training field that is over 9,000 square feet and a full size hitting cage. I believe you should train in the conditions you will be playing. This is at my house on Golden Oaks in Georgetown. We do train all year around except when temperatures are below 50 degrees or raining.
