Emily Jo Gray was in 10U softball when she started coming to my hitting cage to learn how to hit the softball with the most efficient swing possible. Throughout the years we have worked on the mechanics of the swing, situational hitting, bunting and some mental conditioning. We spent many hours in the cage; in the heat and cold, sharing laughs, softball stories, birthday cupcakes (our birthdays are one day apart), and giving mom grief about her going out of state to play softball. On November 9th 2016, she invited me to share in her ceremony of signing her letter of intent to play for McClennan Community College just up the road in Waco. I wish Emily Jo lots of luck and success taking her skills to the next level at MCC. Congratulations Emily Jo.
